R: 1- women are represented as superior and powerful in resident evil, this is because the main protagonist of the film is female, whereas males tend to be the main lead in action films however this implies that the role of women within the film industry has changed. On the other hand they are also objectified in a way because of the way they are dressed e.g. revealing red dress. the violent scenes also portray women as physically powerful.
