The movie seems to be challenging the stereotypes that are placed on females to an extent due to the reason that even though "Alice" is the protagonist of the film and is playing the 'hero' she is still objectified through her costume e.g. a red dress, this presents her as attractive and desirable to a male audience, the red also presents her as seductive however it can also connote danger.
